I was hoping there would be a discussion about Zeitgeist in the forums, but perhaps I should initiate it. The origins of some of the content featured in this documentary is what led me to find and connect with the Ethical Society, in many respects. All my life I knew things were askew out there, and depending on your perspective, it's hard to objectively argue that the ideas presented in this film aren't at the very least an honest attempt to study some of the bigger mistruths of human history and current culture and society.
I have found my way through many different legitimate studies to some of the points raised in Zeitgeist, and feel it's one of the best presentations I've seen regarding this type of controversial information.
And the funny thing is— the only reason a lot of this information is controversial in the first place is that it goes against the status-quo-- against the grains of culture and common, mainstream belief— but it's closer to reality as far as a true attempt to connect the realities of the ways of things today with the history of control and oppression.
The Ethical Society is about equality and human spirit, and it doesn't take more than a modest education and objective spirit to realize that we humans, as a whole, are squandering our opportunity to make life on this planet truly in the realm of beauty and wonder, connection and spirit.
This kind of film tends to be on the fringe of acceptance to even the most open minded individuals because even the smartest, most intelligent humans can't imagine the magnitude of corruption that must be present in this world for this type of "human-spirit treason" to sustain.
Just wondering what others out there think about it?
"human-spirit treason" or simply human
