I just listened to a great podcast on TED Talks by Dan Gilbert: Why are we happy? Why aren't we happy?
He made a couple of interesting points. First, the number of choices we have for any one thing has the paradoxical effect of decreasing our happiness and overall satisfaction. Second, doing something for others increases our happiness. This echoing our moto -- Bringing out the best in others and thereby ourselves. Adler was on the right track and headed toward happiness over 100 years ago!
